1. The 5 Ways to Wellbeing
Introduction to internationally recognised and practical framework for supporting positive mental wellbeing
Simple actions to practice each day to maintain or improve our mental health and wellbeing
Research from across the world on proven actions that can help us to feel good and function well
Each action can make a positive difference to our lives and they are free and easy to incorporate into daily life
2. Positive Mental Health Conversations
This interactive workshop is designed to support more open conversations in the workplace.
The goal is to make mental health conversations that little bit easier by discussing what mental health is and the importance of authenticity, language and listening to your colleagues.
Attendees will also be introduced to an internationally recognised and practical framework for supporting positive mental wellbeing.
3. Physical Activity Goal Setting
This interactive workshop is designed to empower attendees to take control of their own physical wellbeing.
We’ll break down physical activity and explore each of the five components of physical fitness. We’ll introduce a simple test for each component so attendees can take a baseline measure of their fitness at any stage, empowering them to measure and track their physical wellbeing journey.
Small improvements in our physical wellbeing can increase our ability to lead a more fulfilling life. Each one of the five components can make a positive difference to our lives, especially as we age, and they are free and easy to incorporate into daily life.
4. Sustainable Workplace Wellbeing
This workshop is designed to introduce senior leaders and wellbeing champions to an 8 Step Framework for developing, implementing and sustaining a wellbeing programme at their workplace.
Many well-intentioned organisations are trapped in endless cycles of random acts of wellness with no clear strategy, no measurements, no health benefits for colleagues and no tangible benefits for the organisation.
The 8 Step Framework for Developing a Workplace Wellness Programme that Lasts is based on academic research, on the Wellness Council of America’s benchmarks and practical case study examples from Irish organisations.
5. Mental Skills
In times of change, particularly uncertain change, some people sink, while others learn to swim with the flow. What separates these outcomes is our mindset, and our belief that we can navigate the challenges that life inevitably throws our way.
In this workshop, we will:
Discuss the facilitators personal journey of change
Highlight the link between our thoughts and emotions
Discuss the mind-body connect and the biology (and neuroscience) of emotions
Emphasise the danger of negative thinking and limiting beliefs
Highlight the power of acceptance and letting go of what we cannot control
Provide practical tools that will help people to overcome challenges and embrace change
6. Emotional / Personal Effectiveness
We are what we repeatedly do. As such, we are a product of our habits. It is therefore crucial to implement good habits into our lives, and more importantly, learn how to break bad ones. The question is, how do we know what actions to take? How do we know what is most important to us? If you want to find your true north, you need to know what you value. Only then, can you make decisions and then act in alignment with what really matters.
In this workshop, we will:
Discuss the science of habits
Demonstrate how habits develop; how they are sustained; and how they appear impossible to change
Show how to break bad habits and maintain good ones
Highlight the importance of values-based decisions
Demonstrate the problems we face when we make feelings-based decisions
Provide a metaphorical tool that will help to make decisions that align with our values
Implementing wellbeing in the workplace is the right thing to do, it’s the legal thing to do and it’s the smart thing to do. Organisations that demonstrate they genuinely care about the wellbeing of their people are the ones that will thrive in the future of work.
