Workplace Wellbeing Ireland has returned to the rebel county! Thanks to our friends at Uisce Éireann Irish Water, we hosted a live in-person session at their Webworks office in Cork on September 7th discussing Mental Health Considerations in the Era of Remote Work.

September 7th 2023: Speaker Profile

Niamh Lenihan, Lecturer at Munster Technological University

Niamh is a lecturer in Economics at Munster Technological University, Cork. She is also a doctoral researcher at the Spatial and Regional Economics Research Centre, at Cork University Business School. Her interests include family business, innovation, mental health & well-being, and the Silver economy. Niamh has presented at international conferences and published her work in peer-reviewed journals.

Brian Sheehan, Infrastructure Delivery Director, Uisce Éireann

Brian is Infrastructure Delivery Director and part of the executive management team at Uisce Éireann and also the executive sponsor of the company mental health programme ‘Time to Talk’. In his role, he has responsibility for the delivery of the water and waste water capital investment programmes. The planned programme over the five-year period 2020-2024 totals a value of €5bn. The role has direct responsibility for all activities from design, planning and procurement through to construction delivery. Prior to taking up this role, he was Head of Asset Delivery in Irish Water for 5 years and worked previously as Group Head of Planning and Delivery in the Ervia Group and in various roles in Gas Networks Ireland including Head of Asset Management. He is a Chartered Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick and is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland.

Una Feeney, Global Occupational Health and Wellbeing Strategist, Eli Lilly

Una oversees the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of the Global Occupational and Employee Health framework at Eli Lilly. In her role she works across different global facilities to monitor and track the specific occupational and personal health opportunities and metrics unique to each country. She supports manufacturing sites and affiliates to deliver wellbeing programs that create awareness, enhance motivation, and provide tools to employees that help them adapt and maintain a well-rounded healthy lifestyle. She is the national chairperson for INMO OHN section and represents Ireland as a board member on the Federation of Occupational Health Nurses. Una is a guest lecturer on the MSc in Occupational Health at UCC.

He is the founder of
The Work Well Institute and the Workplace Wellbeing Ireland community and is Course Director of the Postgraduate Certificate in Workplace Wellness at Tangent, Trinity College Dublin. He is the host of The Work Well Podcast.

In his spare time, Brian is bringing free resistance training to every county and community in Ireland through his parkHIIT social enterprise.
