Workplace Wellbeing Plans in 2023
What are your workplace wellbeing plans for 2023? Whether your team will be working from home, HQ or a hub in 2023, I guarantee you that wellbeing will be high on the priority list for your people.
To help with your planning, I've documented all the resources, education and training that you can avail of from Workplace Wellbeing Ireland and our partners in this article.
Whether you're a leader, a champion or an individual there is something for everyone at The Work Well Community in 2023.
For Leaders
In September 2023, we’ll welcome a new cohort of students to the Postgraduate Certificate in Workplace Wellness at Tangent, Trinity College Dublin. We expect the application process will open in the spring of 2023. As with previous years, places will be at a premium so make sure you are on the Work Well mailing list as I will announce details here when the application process is open.
If you can’t wait that long or can’t commit to a Level 9 university course and yet you’re responsible for the development, delivery and improvement of the overall wellbeing programme at your workplace, the 8 Steps to Embed a Culture of Health programme can help. It’s an online course that you can run through at your own pace and takes participants through an evidence based 8-Step Framework for sustainable workplace wellbeing programme development. The very same framework underpins the PG Cert at Trinity.
For Champions
Wellbeing should be a shared value across the organisation, not something that is owned by one person or team. A team of wellness champions can support wellbeing leader(s) with the programme development, communication, organisation and feedback. The Wellbeing Champion training is delivered in person or online through Zoom across four workshops. Download the module overview here. N.B this course can be tailored and delivered for organisations just starting out or for those looking to re-invigorate an already established wellbeing champion team.
For Everyone
Feeding Your Potential
Fuel your body for work and play. 'Feeding Your Potential' is a Workplace Wellbeing Nutrition Course that empowers colleagues to make healthier choices with the tools and the knowledge to do so.
Self-Care for Working Parents
On this course, Clinical Psychologist Dr. Malie Coyne supports working parents to balance the many demands placed on them by helping them to cultivate compassion for themselves and their children, whilst creating a healthy work-life balance which truly aligns with their values.
Managing Stress at Work to Improve Wellbeing
We can achieve well-being within our work and personal lives if we are equipped with sufficient resources to balance against the daily demands we face. In this evidence-based module, underpinned by the Job Demands Resources Model and Conservation of Resources theory, Dr. Jennifer Hynes explores the psychological, social, physical and financial drivers of well-being in life.
How to Boost Energy, Increase Productivity and Eliminate Procrastination
Just like an athlete, or any leading performer, if you want to win the day, it’s critical that you start on the right foot. That’s why morning routines are so important. They prime you for the day ahead, motivating you, energising you, and helping you to take positive action as you go about your day. Join Brian Pennie as he highlights key techniques including gratitude, visualisation, affirmations and mindfulness to demonstrate how routines don't have to take time, they make time.
Workshops
Much like wellbeing and mental health, our live workshops are not just for special occasions. We offer workshops such as ‘The 5 Ways to Wellbeing’ ‘Positive Mental Health Conversations’, ‘The 5 Components of Physical Fitness’ and more all year round and we can also develop bespoke workshops and lunch and learns to meet your requirements,
